Want the perfect date?
Venus' 30 Days to the Perfect Date—Week 4
Only two weeks left in our Valentine’s Day quest! Are you as
excited as I am?
This week you should start narrowing down your prospects.
While you’re at it, be sure to keep investing in yourself,
you’ll be rewarded with a huge pay off!
Here’s this week’s To Do List:
1. Semi-finalists. Use your journal to make a list of
the most promising people from your email, telephone and date
list. Gently and politely deflect the folks who you don’t feel
belong in your “little black book.” Ask your e-pals for a phone
conversation and move your tele-pals to the physical plane. Ask
your offline dates for a second (or third) round!
2. Making a list. Make a list of your top five wishes
for a perfect Valentine’s Day date. Use your list to see if a
prospect’s ideas sync up with your own. Maybe it will even give
him or her a few ideas! Valentine’s Day sometimes can be rife
with expectation; your dream Valentine’s date might include a
raft of red roses or a skimpy negligee, though that’s probably a
little much for this stage in your dating life. Focus instead on
a low-key idea.
3. Reaching out. Just to keep your list of potentials
fresh, watch for my Venus emails to help you find two more
members to contact. You should keep your options open for
post-holiday dating. Don’t just limit yourself to the internet:
compliment that guy you’ve been scoping out for months or start
a conversation with the woman sitting next to you on the train.
4. Dressing the part. Do something a little out of the
ordinary with your wardrobe this week. If you’re feeling silly,
wear a candy necklace and offer someone a bite! Try some slinky
underwear beneath your work clothes. Assemble or buy your
Valentine’s date outfit and test drive it during a night on the
town with friends. Your match is on Match.com
